Meeting of the Joint Experts Group Committee of the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of North Macedonia on the establishment of a new border crossing point, connecting Promachoi in the Hellenic Republic and Majden in the Republic of North Macedonia<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 1st<\/sup>\u00a0meeting of the Joint Experts Committee between the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of North Macedonia on the establishment of a new border crossing point, connecting Promachoi in the Hellenic Republic and Majden in the Republic of North Macedonia was held today (May 28th<\/sup>, 2021), in Thessaloniki.<\/p>\n

The Secretary General for Public Order of the Ministry of Citizen Protection, Mr. Konstantinos Tsouvalas, chaired the meeting with his counterpart, Head of the Delegation of the Republic of North Macedonia, Mr. Zoran Popov, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.<\/p>\n

The two sides elaborated and agreed on the Rules of Operation and Procedure of the Joint Experts Committee, which will be adopted in the next meeting.<\/p>\n

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the local authorities from both neighboring sides of the borderline.<\/p>\n

The meeting took place in a positive and productive context, as well as within mutual understanding, while it has been agreed the second meeting of the Joint Experts Committee to be held on a date, mutually decided, within the current year.<\/p>\n
